How do I measure for
bracelet size? If you don't have a measuring tape, use a
piece of string even, just something you can wrap around her wrist.
(Quick search online can even find you a ruler image to measure the
string with.) And yes, I said wrist, not arm. Wrist is the skinny part where
hand meets arm. Measure tight, as in not squishing the poor
kid, but also not leaving extra room between the measuring device
and the wrist. I will add about 3/4" to the measurement,
sometimes more depending on the bracelet style (chunky beads need
more room), sometimes less (because I'm a professional and innately
know when it should be less, haha).
If you want to just send the
measurement and age, that is super. (I ask for age because I
get a lot of wrong measurements. If they seem off from the
age, I write to check.)
If you have bracelets you've
already bought that fit, you can send me an end-to-end measurement
of that.
How soon do you ship?
I usually ship within a day of receiving all the order information
and payment. If there are questions with the order it could
take a bit longer, but once I send you an "It should be in the mail xxxday" message it's pretty set in stone. Sometimes I'll have
something come up (sick kids, super busy day, etc.) that will put me
off a day, but not much more than that. I HATE holding on to
people's money without sending their order.
What's your favorite drink while you're up
late working on your website? Nestle Quik hot chocolate
with crushed up candy cane stirred (not shaken) in. Mmmm, mmmm,
good.
Can you add a grow chain
to the bracelet?
Sure, it costs $.50 extra per bracelet.
Can I come over and check out your stuff?
Sure, but there isn't much to look at. I make the bracelets
after they are bought, so I don't keep much of anything on hand.
Do you ever make mistakes?
Unfortunately yes, I am sadly imperfect. I've sent the wrong
size bracelet. I've sent the wrong style. I've
accidentally put the wrong orders in the wrong envelopes and sent
them on a little sightseeing tour on their way to the proper
destination. I've missed adding a paid order to the 'get these
out' pile. Just when I think I've made all the mistakes I
could, I come up with a new one. Rest assured that if I make a
mistake I'll do all I can to fix it. Be patient, I'm doing my
best, but I am human.
Where is my order!?!
In a perfect world I would hand deliver every package.
Unfortunately I can't do that, and must rely on the mailman to get
it to you. Very rarely do I have a problem, but every once in
a while they throw a curveball. I've got stories that would
give you nightmares. I once had a package that took 8 months
to arrive, postmark date intact, packing in perfect condition.
What's up with that?? But again, the problems are very few and
far between.
In the event that your order
doesn't arrive as quickly as you would like, I'm more than happy to
ship a second order for half-price (so we both take the hit).
When the first package decides to show up, return it, and I will
refund the half-price payment.
Purchasing insurance nulls this
process. If it hasn't arrived within 3 weeks I'll get another
order in the mail for you, no problem.
Where do you buy all your
beads and stuff? Wow, thanks for asking, but it would be
unfair to myself and all the work I put in to searching out the best
prices I can if I were to just pass that out to anyone who asked.
Besides, in reality the prices are probably higher than where
everyone else gets them, so I would be no help anyway.
How late were you up when you wrote this?
Really really late.
